10 Things Thursday

10 things that have little to nothing to do with each other.

1. I just finished three books. I reread Breaking Dawn (final Twilight book) so we could see the movie. Ohhhh, the movie. I admit I loved it...even if it did have the most ridiculous scene (or two) that I have ever seen. Ever. Geez.
I also read Shiver for book club. It is a young adult book about a high school girl and a . . .werewolf. I know that right now it looks as though I'm obsessed with wolves. I assure you I'm not. But the book, it was super good. There are two more and I'm just waiting my turn to borrow them and devour them. Yay.
And I finally (after starting this summer) finished Sure as the Dawn, the last book in the Mark of the Lion series. Which I started, accidentally, calling The Lion King series. Luckily my girlfriends know me well enough to know that I mix up words all the time and they love me anyway. Anyway, back to the book. . .I loved it. Of course, I love Francine Rivers. She is wonderful. Her books are wonderful. I always feel closer to God when I read her and find myself wishing for the faith of the characters.
P.S. Katrina, I will return your book very soon. Thanks!!!

2. My blog recently told me that I have too many pictures and am not allowed to add anymore. I'm not really sure how to fix this which is one reason I haven't been writing. Boo. The other reason is because I've been busy. I need to figure it out and quick. I have some sweet photos of some really sweet bebes to show you.

3. Speaking of 3, little Miss Abby Mae turns three in a few days. Where does the time go? She is having a winter wonderland birthday. Please join me now in a prayer for snow, or snow dance. . .whatever you do. . . do it. Who would have guessed we would have no snow. Boo. Well it will be snowy and delightful inside our house anyway. With little girls in tutus and crowns. My heaven.

4. I was in bed at 10:37 on New Years Eve. Does this mean I am old? I had a headache, but come on. When I was in my twenties I would have danced that headache away. No more. Aleve and a warm bed. It was so nice to feel so good and rested on the first though. Ahhhhhhh. I made a ham that day with some good potatoes. Adam likes me, but I'm pretty sure that day he like liked me.

5. Been feeling like a host of an award show lately. With all the wardrobe changes I do in a day you would think I was at the Oscar's. I'm not. I just have a newborn who likes to do gross things to his clothes and mine. The other day I had spit up in the pocket of my cardigan. Ugh. Maybe tomorrow I will try imagining that I'm changing into glittery dresses with incredible shoes. Who knows? It might work.

6.Pretzels & Doritos. I have never purchased either of these things. However, when they are around me I cannot stop eating them. It is a phenomenon. A snack phenomenon. Please tell me you have a phenomenon of your own.

7. We weighed Asher the other day at my mom's house. Twenty pounds. Oh my! Abby barely weighs more than him. What a chunky monkey. I think he is almost ready for a hamburger.

8. The kids at school like to play hide and go seek. There are four places to hide. Under the table, behind the chair, behind the open door and under my desk. It always goes really quick and the kids just switch places. They love it anyway. I love that they love the simpleness of it all.

9. Book club is tonight. I am excited. We actually read a book and are going to discuss it tonight. Then we are going to pick another book. Yay! Last time we got together it was brought to the attention of the group that we had failed to actually read a book or discuss one. Someone suggested we call it drink club since we do enjoy some wine and discuss that.  Book Club or Drink Club. I'm in...

10. Numerous times in the past month I have been sitting at home, watching the kids play or cuddling with Adam and have realized how truly happy I am. Life is good. I love, I am loved and I have a beautiful, healthy family. Things are wonderful. We are so blessed. It's good to be here.

Before I could even finish reading your post I had to go to Amazon and buy Shiver for Kindle! Can't wait - you know I love young adult novels involving vampires and werewolves!!

Sweet post! I enjoy reading about all your little moments. You always find something to delight in, Ada--I love that about you!

I liked Shiver, by the way!

How did I not know about Shiver until yesterday?! One more to add to my "to read" list.

So I got that message that I was at max capacity on my blog a few months ago and I had to purchase more storage. It wasn't very expensive and it gives you a TON more storage. And I paid very little attention to what I did to get that MORE storage, that I'm going to have to stop and do some more research before I tell you...

Ok, turns out I still have no idea. But what I do know (that I didn't before) is that when you upload photos to blogger, you're actually uploading them to a Picasa album, so you actually have to buy more storage through your Picasa account (which you may or may not know that you had... I didn't). So... look around for some kind of "buy more storage" button or something?

Ah ha!

Click the blogger icon in the top left.

Click on My Account (top right-ish)

Scroll down to storage. It should have some kind of bar that tells you how much storage you're using and how much you have left.

Click on Details.

I have the 20GB for $5 a year plan. I forgot that it's a yearly fee. But hey, I'll pay $5 to get to post pictures of my cutie pies!
